Sheryl is a painter/sculptor who delights in experimenting with various mediums. Residing

winning awards for her unique textural style of expression. From 2009 to 2012, her work was
featured at both VOCA Gallery in Venice Beach, CA and Arte de Sayulita Gallery in Mexico.
She is a member in both the North Coast Artist Guild and the Napa Valley Art Association.
As a member of the North Coast Artist Guild, she participated in their Studio Discovery
Tour from 2008 to 2012 and, in 2012, she created and opened the association’s first pop-up
art gallery, called Discovery Gallery, in Gualala, CA. She is past Vice President of the
Napa Valley Art Association and participated in, as well as chairing, their Open Studios
event for the last 4 years.
Sheryl believes personal growth is vital to her evolutionary process as an artist. She continues to push and challenge herself by creating new opportunities, experimenting with the unknown, continuing her education, participating in workshops, and coaching others to help them discover and express their own unique and creative abilities.
For me, the process of creating is as fundamental and as vital as breathing. While the act of creating takes many forms, painting and sculpting are my primary passions.
I approach my work from the perspective of playfulness, whimsy, and experimentation with materials. By using my hands, instead of most of the traditional tools and brushes, I feel I am able to connect to, and reflect, my most authentic self in my artwork. I am grateful for having discovered my true passion, and its various forms and forums, and for the opportunity to express and share the purest essence of myself. I hope others will enjoy my artwork as much as I enjoy creating it.
