Angela Windin is a self-taught artist originally based in San Francisco and recently relocated to Napa, California. As a child, Angela was glued to her illustrated animal encyclopedia and developed a profound love of animals that has only grown stronger today.
Her work focuses on the interplay of color and pattern with various fauna. Working in acrylic, she plays between abstract and real, strong and soft, trying to balance each technique in the same way all things hang in a gentle balance. By weaving these elements together, she hopes to inspire a remembrance of the connectedness that runs through us and every living thing.
Angela’s work has been shown in various galleries throughout the Bay Area including San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto, Marin and Pt. Reyes.
In her spare time, she obsessively attends workshops including classes in shibori, encaustic painting, pottery, screen-printing and quilting.
