My art is both representational and abstract, executed in watercolor, pen-and-ink, colored pencil, pastels or acrylics. My abstract work explores graphic relationships aided – where necessary – by color, whereas my representational art uses color and form, aided by sharp or distorted perspective, to portray realistic subject matter. Influences are Tom Thomson and the Canadian Group of Seven (especially Lawren Harris).
