Rachel was raised by the first hippies in a small Sacramento Valley town. She grew up doing a plethora of arts and crafts. Later, she studied painting, printmaking, and photography in New York and Italy, earning degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and John F. Kennedy University.
The brushstroke and color influences of favorites VanGogh, Thiebaud, and Shonto Begay are woven deeply in her work. She enjoys exploring color, energy, and texture.
