I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years. I received my BFA from Art Center College of Design at the campus in Pasadena California. Around 2000 I chose to leave the advertising world behind and work in a different direction with my photography. My inspiration and the decision of what to photograph comes from a world of everyday moments by experiencing life and tapping into my point of view. In 1985 my book “A Pink Flamingo” came to me in a dream at a very low, uncreative point in my life. My book awakened my creativity and gave me a new creative direction that took me four years to photograph and find a publisher, 10Speed Press who, in 1989 was just a excited to work with me as I was with them. I never know where or when the creative process will come but I’m thankful that I still get IT!
