UPDATE: With regret, the Board of Directors of the Art Association Napa Valley announces that the Clay and Glass Center is closing effective September 30, 2024. We have loved teaching you about clay and glass creation and hope you will continue with your creative endeavors. If you have objects at the Clay and Glass Center, please make arrangements with your instructor to pick them up before the closing date.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Clay and Glass Center since its inception. We expected to achieve financial stability by this time but have been unable to reach the goal of paying all the expenses involved in operating the Center on an ongoing basis.

The Art Association Napa Valley’s newest program is the Clay and Glass Center, located in the space formerly used by Dive Into Color.

The Clay and Glass Center presents classes and studio time, by appointment only, for those who want to learn pottery and glass making as a new skill or for those who are well-versed in these methods who need a place to create. Pottery classes include throwing with a wheel as well as hand building methods. Glass classes include instruction in basic and advance fusing techniques, including “freeze and fuse.” Mosaic classes for both novice and experienced artists are also presented.
